The First Aid at Work training is designed to enable participating candidates to work as a First Aider to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency situation at work. The Training course will provide candidates with the knowledge, practical skills to give effective life support, assess and treat work related injuries or illness, maintain care and comfort of the casualty and an understanding required to provide and co-ordinate first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations. The course provides the basic knowledge to respond to any medical emergencies that may arise at the workplace.

Course Objectives
The training provides the participants with an understanding of the basic first aid procedures and how that can be applied in the work environment. And always do the following;

Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first-aider
Assessing an incident
Managing an unresponsive casualty
Recognising and assisting a choking casualty
Managing a casualty – external bleeding and shock
Managing a casualty – minor injury Conducting a secondary survey
Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Administering first aid to a casualty with injuries to their bones
Administering first aid to a casualty with head and spinal injuries
Administering first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries
Administering first aid to a casualty with burns or eye injuries
Administering first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning or anaphylaxis
Administering first aid to a casualty with a major illness

Learning Outcome
The training provides the participants with an understanding of the basic first aid procedures and how that can be applied in the work environment. At the end of the training, the participants will be able to learn and apply the below course contents.

All Employees. This course is ideal for employees who require an introduction to first aid at work, as well as those who wish to use blended learning as an option to achieve the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.

Assessment
The Fire Safety course is assessed by a practical demonstration of the correct use of a fire fighting and extinguishing equipment.


Deliverables
Delivery of the trainings Certificate of training on completion A report shall be sent to the client summarizing the output of the session in terms of satisfaction and knowledge gained considering the pre and post course assessments.
