Even as I support those behind this, but I tell you, that amount is a far cry from what the executive spends on the name of purchase of cars for Minister, special assistants etc who are very few in number compared to the National assembly that has over four hundred members

I agree 100%. People are waiting for the FG to change... when the people have the power to make the changes. What happened to the cars from the 8th Senate?... that answer would be very interesting. Why can't a car be assigned to the office for maybe 5 years before being changed? Childish old men with poverty mentality.

5.5billion naira on luxury cars amid the level of poverty hovering around Nigeria ?? Will world come to an end if they channel that huge amount of money towards the development of this country by creating more jobs for the unemployed. Clueless and vision less bunch of people. Very thought provoking. Good move and I hope they win the case against senate.

I'm even wondering if they don't have govt cars that they want to buy new cars every time. They claim not to have, but spend the little taht would have been used for the country on such nonsense.

Well, you have a point considering the fact that money can easily exchange hands. It's more disgusting compared to what legislators from other African countries are earning in a month as a basic salary aside allowances. Nigerians should be on the road protesting against this satanic decision honestly. The executive hands are tied too and are not in anyway better off cause the senate can threaten with impeachment. How I wish we can shut down this country for a week and demand for our rights.
