Exactly my point. I wish the influential individuals in Nigeria can start promoting heavy protest and retaliation swiftly.

If this was Trump, will he "send an envoy"? When he knows that if you hurt a country's economy, you hurt the elites and leaders? Begin the process of nationalising MTN, Multichoice, Shoprite; apply economic tarrifs on high value products from SA as they export more to Nigeria than Nigeria exports to them; call an emergency AU sitting.

You dont need to have a PhD in International Relations and Foreign Policy to know what to do. If Buhari can act decisively and rescue a Nigerian girl who was on drug offence in Saudi Arabia where drug offenders face the death penalty, then SA violence is a piece of cake.

Come on man, be sensible for once.
You need a STRONG statement. Else this violence will keep on happening.

A strong statement you say....
Nigeria is in no position to make such statements...... We carry out your reccomendation we stand to lose more than we gain...

The wealth of SA lies in the hands of their white elites... With billions in ties with non continental organisations.. They will wave our attempts at a bluff without a sideways glance..

A diplomatic solutions taking with rational heads devoid of emotions, as cold as it sounds is the way forward...

Though, it's common here.... You don't have to throw insults to pass your opinion across...

of course not, evacuate all Nigerians in SA, recall our ambassador, close Nigerian embassy in SA, close SA embassy in Nigeria, cut all ties with the SA govt. Start from there and let it progress, its that simple, dialogue and diplomacy wont solve this, if it will all the efforts made over the years would have yielded results.
you have sense.. That's the only way but you know nigeria believe so much in this pan africanism nonsense. The fg wouldn't want to do that but that's the only way out, dialogue here and there can't solve a thing. And also because, their govt can't do a thing about the thing too, fg will have to also reaon with them. And if fg should send planes to evacuate them all from sa, many of them wouldn't still come. They'd rather prefer to die there instead. So the issue is just complicated.

I think buhary knows what he is doing. If Fulanis are in South Africa believe me bubu would have taken an action for long but guess what? Majority of affected people in South are Igbos, so he does not not care. The only solution is to reciprocate by condemning there business down here in Nigeria since government can not help.

Good one, part of my suggestion in the other thread.

To those suggesting attacks on Shoprite, 99.5% of the workers there are Nigerians, the mall housing the supermarket is mostly owned by state govt or private Nigerian investors, there are also Nigerian shops inside the mall.
MTN Nigeria is now like a franchise, majority of shares are owned by wealthy Nigerians according to Nigeria Stock Exchange.
Nigerians also have a major stake in Multichoice the owners of DSTV. Workers in DSTV Nigeria are almost 100% Nigerians.

We will only hurt ourselves and relatives if we burn down these companies.
Nigerian Government needs to acts now diplomatically, sanctions should be placed on SouthAfrica, high powered delegation should be sent to SA to provide relief materials to Nigerians affected and meet with the Nigeria community over there.

That is selfish thinking.

The Nigerians whose shops are looted, did they not. Contribute to the economy of South Africa? Did they not employ south Africans too?

Sometimes, war is the beginning of peace.

You've sent an envoy? To deliver a message?

With all the drug money they've made in that country surely they can afford to but enough cutlasses to defend themselves

That is the problem. We are not united. When some folks abuse Nigeria and call it Zoo everyday, who will go and storm the streets? When churches preach hatred everyday against the other person, if your church member is not among why should you? when we talk about fulani herdsmen as if they are part of another country or putting all fulanis in the same basket as if they are all the same? How will an ordinary fulani man that is not a criminal come and defend xenophobic attack when he is attacked back home for what some criminal fulanis do? When you start your nonsense IPOB and some market women or traders decide to stay neutral but you destroy their shops and lynch them for not joining your stupidity, why should they now come out as a united Nigeria when these things were done to them by Nigerians? This is the result of all the hate, hate and open hate you spew daily. Now it is consuming all of us because we are not united.
