If you're a Nigerian and You complain about the allowance of senators, may God punish you. May thunder strike you.

Did you not know they earn this big before you elected them? What have you done about reduction of cost of governance?

May God kill you all.. Nonsense!

An average EMPLOYED graduate annual earning is less than 1,000,000.

If truly this government is fighting corruption, this is a clear indication they are not. I mean right in your face! Smack that! I dey vex o.

3 allowance is leaving me confused :
Constituency: for supplying chairs to primary schools in their house.
Severance: what are they severing when many of them are returning there every other term.
Hardship: are they bricklayer?

That total monthly salary is definitely wrong.
I think:
motor, furniture may be per tenure
Vehicle maintenance newspaper may be yearly
Basic, utility, personal assistance, entertainment may be monthly
Leave while on vacation
Recess while house in recess
Anything short of the above is outrageous.
Lol, the constituency allowance is different from constituency project.
The former is for running a constituency office with provision legally made for it by the RMAC, while the latter is the constituency project which they ilegally include in the budget as lawmakers, eg, pepper grinder, manual borehole, exercise books, okada, etc

we put them there, there is no greater demon than that which resides within.

that's what is happening, we put them there, we fought friends, we turned our eyes from what is right, we went tribalistic, we went religious, we sold our future and that of the future generations for 1k when we put them there.

so let them eat it, they paid for it and we gladly sold to them.

Fake figures.
In as much as Zombies were attacking the National Assembly when Saraki was in charge.
I will not pay them back by supporting half-truths.
Some of those payments are monthly, some are yearly, while some are once in 4 years.
Nobody reads 1 million Naira paper in a month.

However, their true earnings(about 13 to 14m monthly is too high).
Their salary and allowance should be pegged to certain civil service level.
i dont doubt any figure here because these guys are only out to enrich themselves and are prepared to do just that 6 or 9. recall during sen. okadigbo provisions were made for relatives anticipated to have HIV. THATS YOUR LAW MAKERS?SELFULL IN SERVICE RATHER THAN SELFLESS

They get 13 million per month which is too high in the first.
So there is no need multiplying that by 3 to score political points.

Even at that I still don't see it being true.
I'm wondering why the secrecy about what they earn since 1999 till date.
No one has been able to show us a pix of members pay slip/check .....
All what we see is just what one media outlet or organisation puts on social media...
If the members cannot categorically say what's their package on a 30 day period.....

He’s not saying that the money they make is good to look at but common sense should tell you that most of those earnings are annual e.g. accommodation, vehicle, furniture, newspaper and wardrobe allowances

This is about the only person that has made real sense so far.some of those allowances are truly annual based.A good example is the basic salary, how can a senator's monthly basic salary be well over two million naira? That is absolute falsehood because even the president of Nigeria does not earn up to two million naira as basic monthly salary.

can u provide another source to disprove this one. Ex senator Shehu sani once confirmed that their monthly take home was 13m
this one says 29. There is a huge difference. By the way allowance for personal assistants posted there shouldn't be part of their salaries, they actually have many official and unofficial assistants that they pay millions per month.

Oga this is naija so it is very likely to be true. This is small. Remember some years ago when the Nigeria football association (NFA) said they spent 300k for the opening of Facebook account?

Hmmmmmm

Nigeria Pakistan don't be better if senate allowance is not as low as the one that only the ones that has the love of the nation at heart would contest. Let them be paid per sitting, not salary based.

Is it Okorocho that is sponsoring creating ministry of happiness that is serious?

Nigeria will get it right one day
