Bianca Andreescu, a 19-year-old Canadian, won her first Grand Slam title, denying Williams her 24th. She has become the first woman from Canada to win a Grand Slam after producing a stunning performance to beat Serena Williams in the US Open final.

Bianca Andreescu beat Serena Williams, 6-3, 7-5, to win the U.S. Open.
