On Tuesday, Facebook announced it is testing several new characteristics on the platform for creators and government figures. A Collaborative Stories feature that enables various government figures to publish in a single Facebook story is among the latest characteristics. Facebook also provides creators with fresh ways of engaging with supporters and more possibilities for monetization.

The Collaborative Stories function of Facebook is designed to assist creators create more platform exposure and increase their audiences. Multiple artists who played at the Tomorrowland music festival were provided access to the new feature, including the group The Chainsmokers, which saw 92% of their story opinions coming from Facebook users who did not follow the band on the platform.
