Audu Maikori, a lawyer, founder and CEO of Chocolate City Entertainment label has applauded a recent move by Davido and Adekunle Gold.

Davido in a tweet had appreciated Adekunle Gold for co-writing with him (Davido) one of his most favourite song in his soon to be released album.

Maikori while reacting to the co-writing of song between Davido and Davido stressed that it is not a must for an artiste to write every song on their Album.

He said, “This is where a lot of musicians get it wrong- you don’t have to write every song on your album or indeed any song. There are professional songwriters who can write the songs and as long as you sign a publishing agreement you both can share in the glory and proceeds. Good one!”

Recall that Tiwa Savage had also revealed that
YBNL boss, Olamide and Pheelz had actually helped her in co-writing her latest song, 49-99 .
It seems Nigerian artistes are beginning t recognise the importance of song writers.
