A group of angry women have taken to the streets of Portharcourt to protest against the continuous killing of young ladies in several hotels in the Rivers State capital.

The protest which is currently ongoing is organised by Women in Rotary - Portharcourt South in partnership with Rotary Clubs in Portharcourt and other organisations.

Places visited by the protesting women dressed in black clothes include the Rivers State Government House, The Rivers State House of Assembly, The State Office of the Department of State Services, DSS and the State Headquarters of the Nigeria Police among others.

The women are demanding a stop to the senseless killings and the arrest and prosecution of the serial killer(s).

Information Parrot Nigeria recalls that about eight ( young ladies have been reportedly killed in similar ways by yet to identified killers in various hotels in Portharcourt in less than two months.
