China Android phones grin

When I say China phones I don't mean manufacturers in China as most products are I mean low standard rubbish devices that the Chinese government won't even allow to be sold in their country

Examples

Tecno
Infinix
Itel
Injoo
Partner

Cheers

Lies...they actually don't explode for those reasons.
1. There's no one recorded incident of a phone causing an explosion at a gas station. Theoretically, it can happen, but in practice, no.
2. The only danger your phone have in the kitchen is bringing in or picking up bacteria. Fun fact, your phone is dirtier than a toilet seat. There's no recorded incident that using your phone in the kitchen caused any explosion.
3. Another lie. Your phone is very smart. Once it’s fully charged, it knows when to stop the current from coming in to protect your phone from overcharging.

Another fun fact: if you leave your phone on while on a flight (or when not in flight mode), the plane will not crash. The advice to switch off your phone or put in flight mode is because it causes interference with the pilot's earphones. You know that sound you hear when you take your phone close to a speaker or radio. Pilots don't like it and truth be said, it's annoying. But certainly, it won't crash the plane.

Stop blowing lies. Google is always your friend

For a start, it's over a decade that it has been proven that your phone cannot cause a fire accident.
To put it in simple terms, it is easier for your body to cause a fire in a petrol station (via charges up to 60000v from moving about your car seat) than for your phone's meagre 4.80v to cause any damage. Also remember that the vehicle you drove into the fuel station runs on a 12v battery but is perfectly safe.

Turning off your phone in a fuel station is an overkill.

even if i still doubt the phone explosion in petrol stations when making use of your cell phone, it's interesting to know that it ain't the voltage from phone they are talking about here. Basically, the cell phone is a device, which consists of countless electric components, responsible for communicating with network towers. Although there are no wires in-between still there is a two-way communication that takes place through the electromagnetic waves. These waves actually travel within a certain radio frequency, which lets the making and receiving of calls possible. And, it is these waves, which can cause the spark and ignite the gas at the station. cool

Psoul:

These stories we used to hear when phones newly entered Naija.
My brother, all these are fake. Your phone can never catch fire in a gas station when u make or receive calls.
The amount of radio wave produced by cell phone cannot cause fire outbreak. Unless if u are using a highly defective phone. What can cause fire at gas stations is mostly static electricity probably from body contact or from the kind of clothing material one is wearing. Example is polyester clothes. When they rub/cling on human body, they produce static charge which is capable of igniting a gas. So some of the gas attendants should avoid some of those materials.

Secondly, it's only a very faulty phone that can ignite a cooking gas. A good condition phone can't. So if a faulty phone causes a problem, we should not generally say that phones should not be used in the kitchen.

The one I found very ridiculous is saying that over charging a smartphone can cause explosion.
First of all, there no such a thing as over charging a smartphone. The name SMARTPHONE is not just for mouth. Smartphones are really smart. Once the phone charges to 100%, it shuts itself off from any other incoming current. Even if u like leave it there for 1yr it will take no more charge. The worst that could happen it that ur charger may get burnt if it is not a smart charger.
So leaving ur phone plugged in even when fully charged can not cause any explosion unless u are using fake phone with fake charger.

The woman below (RIP) died because of gas explosion in a petrol station while refilling her gas cylinder. And guess what, the explosion was triggered by her mobile phone.

Olori Opeyemi Omobolawa Fola, the Deputy Director, O-Ambulance, an Osun State Safety Organisation has died as a result of gas explosion in Osogbo, barely 48 hours after a gas cylinder explosion triggered by a phone call, killed three people in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The sad incident happened on Wednesday December 13.

The trained senior nurse who was also the President, Rotary Club International, GRA, Osogbo, was said to have gone to the popular Grace Gas, Osogbo, to refill her cylinder, when she suddenly had a call and brought out her phone from her pocket.

According to an eyewitness, the phone exploded instantly, set the woman and her car on fire, flung the cylinder to a far distance. Some others were also said to have been seriously injured as a result of the explosion.

Static electricity can be generated by simply moving around on your seat or seat belt sliding across your chest. Your claim sir/ma is just not true. Thousands of experiments have been conducted worldwide to actually start a fire using phone signals. All turn out negative.

Also, cases of phones exploding while charging is usually caused by heat, using wrong charger or using defected batteries (like the note 8 I think).

Oga don't over flog this issue. Referencing an alleged case of phone explosion won't help ur case. The eye witness report is not reliable.
My advice to you is before u make a post, read about it. At least Google stuff up and read so you will be well informed. Bloggers and journalist sometimes write unverified stories like the one ure referencing.

Fact is, and u can Google it
1. Your phone cannot cause a gas explosion at a fuel station
2. Your phone cannot cause gas explosion in your kitchen
3. Your smartphone cannot over charge once it's full it stops charging.

Note the above is for smart phones.
If u're using sagem or Nokia 3320 i dnt know

You are entitled to your opinion and perspectives, even harmless biases and peccadillos. But please don't make posts that might mislead people in serious issues that involve health. The police has even declared it a crime to use phones in petrol station FYI. Just take care of your health and be your citizen's keeper. Peace
