Just look at Delta state. Nothing to show despite this huge allocation.

Abi you don kolo?

Derivation is not for oil mining states...but for oil producing states.

Lagos is an oil producing state.

This is why we tell una that the Constitution is full of loopholes. You dont have to know law to win legal battles in Nigeria, you just need a practiving license and a thorough knowledge of Constitution so you can use the loopholes to your favor. grin

The question is;
What did they do with the money in developing their long abandoned region
And how many lives of the poorest of the poor were positively impacted by
this huge amount

They leave their region purposely undeveloped so their people can troop out to other regions, which leaves the state with a lot of unused allocations for them to dip their fingers in. grin

Ask Niger delta but please remove Imo and Abia, that's their normal allocation not oil revenue.

I’m not even concerned about Rivers and Delta but that tiny Bayelsa with that huge allocation has nothing to show for it.

The Governor of Bayelsa will be one of the richest governors in Nigeria, just embezzle all the allocation and buy other people that will wail off with no meaningful development.

I think crude oil is a curse to Nigeria. It led to the civil war, it is instrumental to the end of regional government, it made Nigerians lazy and we’ve not been able to truly make use of our knowledge to benefit mankind.

Governors will just sit down and wait for alert monthly, how will they think when they can’t even hustle for their state. This lazy Oil economy Is the problem of this nation and as long as the oil keep flowing, we may not wise up till 2100.
