African governments don't seem to be swerving away from corruption and indiscipline through democracy. Democracy has proved to be a successful system of government in Europe and America but has failed woefully in Africa. Our governments are dictators cloaked as Democrats, Some African leaders have ruled for over ten years through democracy. This system of government has failed thoroughly and I doubt the possibility of a true and insightful leader emerging through democratic election. At this point, we need more than a general election to solve the current political woe. It could be a Revolution, Uprising, Heavy protests or Disintegration. We clearly need more than any election. |
