Wow!!

What a great performance for VVD... Ballon d'or loading.!!!

Once again, he has led LiVARpool to another tremendous win..

Mane and Salah are lucky to have their best player on the field, stopping goals and avoiding dribbling...

VVD for Ballon d'or is sure now!!!

In fact it is a battle of ideals and football culture.
Something like eastern vs western power.

Gergen presse vs tiki taka

Kloop vs guradiola

Liverpool vs Barcelona.

And Liverpool is dismantling those myths one at a time.

The greatest enemy of Barcelona is not real Madrid, it is Liverpool.
I doubt this liverpool could handle counter attacking prime Real Madrid team, they were almost unstoppable, there was only one team capable of containing that level of intensive attack, FC Barcelona

This Liverpool would press the living daylight out of them.

It would be a high scoring game though on both ends.

I don't get what all of you are about VAR or the REF. i guess you guys don't read that's why most are just frosting on the mouth. Read the basic handball rules and understand the ref was spot on not to have not called the Handball.

It is an offence if a player:

1. deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball

2. gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm and then:

3. scores in the opponents’ goal

4. creates a goal-scoring opportunity

5. scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper

It is usually an offence if a player:

1. touches the ball with their hand/arm when:

2. the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger

3. the hand/arm is above/beyond their shoulder level (unless the player deliberately plays the ball which then touches their hand/arm)

4. The above offences apply even if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close.

Except for the above offences, it is not usually an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm:

1. directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot)

2. directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close

3. if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally bigger

4. when a player falls and the hand/arm is between the body and the ground to support the body, but not extended laterally or vertically away from the body
5. The goalkeeper has the same restrictions on handling the ball as any other player outside the penalty area. If the goalkeeper handles the ball inside their penalty area when not permitted to do so, an indirect free kick is awarded but there is no disciplinary sanction.

http://www.theifab.com/laws/chapter/32/section/92/

The first incidence was clearly not an handball. He didn't move his hand to obstruct the ball neither did he make himself bigger with his hands. The second incident, his hands were in a natural position and sterling was 2 yards away and hit the ball against his hands. His hands weren't raised or moving at the time of play. According to the basic handball rules both aren't handballs. Except you are guys looking for armless defenders those calls would never be called as a penalty. So maybe you guys read up and understand the rules before arguing blindly.

laliga is not a league and they have been dominating both in UCL and Europa ? Laliga is not a league and Sevilla won us convincingly in the Europa League final few years ago? Baba calm down . grin . Same could be said about Liverpool , we won the league when we had no competition then in the 70's and 80's , so?

Let me tell you something. Madrid and Barcelona are very good teams. Laliga also have a way in helping them win ucl and europa cos they don't face strong opponents compared to the English teams. Now imagine Chelsea playing city during weekend and Tuesday playing bayern or juve in knockout stage or mancity playing liverpool then Chelsea then still play a top team in ucl during midweek. There will be selection headache, focus will be imbalance, as both titles are worth fighting for,any slip up is bad market. Compare to Laliga where you can comfortably knockout your league opponent and prepare well for ucl.forget it English teams dey try.

I'm so proud of the boys. They are really stamping their authority wherever field they found themselves. .

I remembered about 7-8yrs ago, it was like a taboo to say that you were a Liverpool fan.. when our premier league positions were usually 4th, 5th or 6th positions..I'm glad about the turn of events. Also happy about the fact that people can now boldly say that they were Liverpool fan..

However I am worried about the bragging going on. Liverpool supporters were not used to bragging... We are simply silent achievers.. I hope these were genuine supporters who will stick with the boys when the road gets bumpy not the fair weather fans..
silent achievers grin we we're only silent because we were shit fr almost a decade.
we just recently started playing UCL football

No sir, technology is good, no one likes to be cheated, in as much as I like football in a traditional way, VAR is fine. It showed us clearly how the ball touched Bernardo’s hand before Trent’s.
Don’t blame VAR for City’s bad performance against Liverpool, Liverpool were clearly the better team.
Guardiola was the coach when Barca robbed Chelsea of 4 penalties in 2009 UCL semi final. It’s not Karma this time, but you n I are sure it wouldn’t have been like that if there’s VAR.
Liverpool outclassed City today, they were clearly the best
