The Federal House of Representatives will on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, formally inaugurate the various Standing Committees it earlier constituted.

This was disclosed by Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, Deputy Speaker of the House, during today’s plenary at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

According to the deputy speaker, the list of committees’ members would be announced soon.

He also said that the leadership of the House would meet with chairmen and their deputies to marshal out methods of operations after the inauguration.

Recall that the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, had announced the list of Chairmen and their Deputies on July 25, 2019.

In the USA there are only about 20 house of rep committees and about same number in the senate. Here in Nigeria there are 61 house of rep committees and 57 senate committees. Nigeria is doomed! This is broad daylight wasting of resources. They collect billions every year for being in a committee and do just about nothing !
