How to Apply for Prepaid Meter in Abuja, Kogi, Nasarawa and Niger State from AEDC -

Residents in federal capital territory (FCT), Kogi, Nasarawa and Niger State can now purchase prepaid meters from Abuja Electricity Distribution Commission (AEDC) accreditted meter assets providers.

The AEDC prepaid meter application forms are now avaliable to all customers who wish to apply for an AEDC prepaid meter. The AEDC prepayment meter can only be purchased from a meter asset provider(MAP).

What is MAP? The MAP scheme is an initiative from the industry regulation, Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission(NERC), designed to reduced metering gap within AEDC network area. All customers without meter will now be provided with meters under this initiative.

Who are the MAPs? MAPs are companies who are partnering with AEDC, with the approval of NERC, to provide and install meters at the premises of Nigerians who don't have prepaid meters.

How Much is AEDC Prepaid Meter?
AEDC customers are to pay N37,000 for a single phase meter and N67,000 for three phase meter. The prepayment meter will be installed at the customers residence in 10 days after payment.
