Hi Nairalanders, I have found out that my car engine starts going off on low speed after some time on the road. Also the light system gets dimmer to the extent that I can hardly wind down/up my glasses.

I recently changed my clutch pad & disk, after which I started noticing the problem. The mechanic guy said it is fuel filter an later said it is ignition and coil. After changing all these, the problem still persists. I need car guru's candid advice.

@Poster: Have them check your alternator. I experienced the same thing some months back. Discovered that ma alternator is not charging ma battery enuf, the moment i changed it, everything became normal. Have a re-wire check ur alternator and see if its still strong enuf to charge ur battery. sikena,

From the above it is most likely your alternator has gone bonkers, you may also have noticed a battery light prior to the gradual shut down. Just like Igbsam said, get a good AutoElectrician check and possibly replace the alternator.

Below is the light you may have noticed.

Good Luck and let us know how you got on.

You said honda bullet? Then try high speed because bullets only go at very high speed (I mean very, very high speed) lol. Case closed. NEXT question please. grin
