I support the motion that Port Harcourt has to be renamed.
Not only Port Harcourt, but every colonial memorabilia, paraphernalia, or traces whatsoever.

Have the people of those places told you that they had fake names before and want a renaming?

You feel the former names were Igbo names so you're already opposing it just because of that. The question is why immortalize a pedophile and a rapist that was convicted?

So this religious stupidity in Nigeria started long time ago? Imagine jumping into a lion's cage to act like an imaginary Daniel in the bible?
Oyibo really took away our senses by giving us bibles.

He started a peaceful confraternity. Blame the military Nzeogwu, Murtala, Gowon and Ifeajuna. Between these 4 guys, they destroyed Nigeria

I love history...

As for the the wealthy women with ivory anklets, the anklets were called "mgba ukwu" n only the wives of highly placed men wear them n were known as "ndi Lolo". The igbo lost a lot of their culture due to the way they embraced the white man (hook, line n sinker).... starstruck admiration laced with naive inferiority complex that anything from the white man is better (drink,God, education, clothes, lifestyle n so on). So the white man's job becomes "olu oyibo" n we strive to attain the white's way of life, lingos like "anyi n'ebi ka ndi white" became our watchword while moral decadence ravished our lands n eroded our cultures.
I admire the Yoruba too much, they embraced the white man with one hand n kept him at bay with the other. The Yoruba have one of the richest culture in Africa.
The Hausa are worst hit. Everything about them before the coming of the Fulanis n Islam has been wiped off the surface of the earth forever.
