The Nigeria government and that of the South African has signed a 10 years visa agreement for those going into the country for Business and for Education.

The agreement between these two country were officially signed by the president of the South African country on the 4th of October 2019 in Pretoria, South African, during the ninth Bi-National commission.

Confirming the Agreement by the Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) of the Nigeria President, Garba Shehu said that the agreement was actually sponsored by the president of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari and the president of South African, Cyril Ramaphosa.
According to Shehu, “The decision was taken to encourage more people-to-people contacts among citizens of both countries and further strengthen socio-cultural, economic and political relations.

“At the meeting held at the Union Buildings, Presidential Palace of South Africa, the two presidents agreed on early warning signals to nip violence in the bud before it escalates, while taking into consideration the need to share more intelligence and promote stronger partnership in security.
