cenaman:
She believe in GOD yet the GOD she believes in didn't give her gold medal.

She could have easily got the gold if she had believed more in herself. Nigerian delusional orientation got the best of her.

However, she has a bright future if she gets the right guidance and support.

The hundred thousand dollars rewarded the female 400 hurdler for breaking the world record may have highlighted how Nigeria could improve track and field. Since we find difficulty in creating the enabling Athletics infrastructure that nurture relevant candidates from primary school to success at these major Championships, perhaps we should do away entirely with current piecemeal funding and let prospective Nigeria athletes fund their own training and travel, at the top level, and plough the money saved into major financial reward for wining medals. Hundred thousand dollars for gold; seventy for silver and thirty for bronze; this also makes sense since many Nigerians eschew patriotism for material and monetary rewards.

That tall German lady was just lucky to win with a very long jump after two failed attempts.

She really tried as that German woman was miles ahead of everyone. She has jumped over 7 meters 6 different times this season and her jump of 7.30 in third round was out of the world. Bribe lost out on silver on penultimate round by 0.01m... she definitely has a bright future ahead of her.
I was really hoping that Tobi Amusan will win a medal in 100m hurdles also but she painfully came 4th in the final. I can't fault her performance though. With 12.49s while her personal best is 12.48s she ran in semi finals, the has Ali (defending champion), Harrison (world record holder) And Thompson (Olympic champion) in front of her so she should take solace in the fact that she was beaten by the best. She's definitely going places, I think she should work better on her start though. As for the sprinters, we have a long way to go, even South Africa and ivory coast are ahead of us. Sports is a multi billion dollar industry but we would rather focus on oil. Shame on us

Why are Nigerians have to attach everything to Prayers
The Gold winners don't pray but are very hard working and camped for months training hard.
We travel and pray because the road is a dead trap but won't pray if the road is safe.
Hardwork first and prayers later...

While watching Manchester united match yesterday somewhere in Umuahia Abia state. We were watching this lady as well.We applauded for her when she jumped a long distance. Her record stood till a lady jumped above her line after three attempts. The only time I experience unity in Nigeria is during any sports related activities.Despite ESE Brume is not an Igbo.We were all backing her up

Ese is Edo word

Is that so
So tell me the meaning of Ese in Edo.

Ese mean "gift" in Urhobo and Brume mean "Blessing" in Urhobo.

Go and learn Nigeria people and culture.

May while big congratulation to her.
More success to her.
