He seems to only want to blame Ambode, while forgetting the 2 before Ambode.........
The 2 before Ambode did their best and leave some legacies. Lagos island and Surulere never remained the same in terms of road networks courtesy Tinubu and Fashola respectively.
Even Ambode tried something within the first 3 months before losing focus.
But this Sanwo man doesn’t seems to have a blueprint or any ideas of what he wants to do or the legacies he intends to leave behind.
I hope he proves us wrong.

I have always maintained that FG is useless to Nigerians. It is just that we are all mad in Nigeria if not, the demand for complete restructuring and weakened central govt should be a call by all Nigerians, especially all southern Nigerians. We have suffered so much under this unitary federalism.

States are more useful to the people than FG which is richer than all the states put together yet, still rely on states to deliver basic amenities. The only thing FG knows how to do is pay their political workers excessively high and loot. I have been saying it, states are so poor yet, states most times take up FG govt projects to handle. It is so unfair. Any wise person who loves Nigeria should have supported Sowore push, we need change how this country was structured. It is so annoying being a Nigerian. cry cry cry cry

We are too comfortable with the situation, even our law enforcement agencies aren't helping the situation. They all act like the cries of a common man doesn't benefit them . Soon they will dispatch military men in all states of the federation in the name of security challenges . The wise ones already know the federal government has an agenda they want to push forward, dispatching military men is just to forestall any uprising from their agenda .

Please shut it with your nonsense "no be una" slogan. I'm not a political jingoist and I have no affiliation with any party whatsoever. Just think straight for once please. Not everyone is being fed by politicians.

Okay oh. It is now you want to seperate politics from governance abi, and when the time comes to massage egos in another setting you bring them back together.

What is there to be gained from hiding facts and shielding those responsible. Why are we suddenly ashamed and lash out at those who wish to remind us of our poor decision making as a citizen nation.

Will we not be comitted to repeating such mistakes and prolonging our agony if we cannot face them and learn lessons.

The bad roads are a direct result of bad electoral choices. We empowered people who have no idea or plan on how to get things done. Simple.

Hello Sir, its being a while I read from you...

Back to your question, this is what the FG released as at 14th Feb., 2019 with some images to back it up

Rehabilitation of Shagamu Ikorodu road...massive construction work currently ongoing at the sawmill, Odongunyan Bustop and Ita Sanni in Ogijo sections.

While it will be truthful to say that some parts are being completed but still within the Lagos axis, if you are used to Ikorodu very well and you shuttle between Odongunyan Bustop, LASPOTECH etc, these are the area that are constructed as at Feb 2019. Ogijo axis which falls under OGSG still has a long way to go.

If we have other images, we will release. Ogijo really needs help to be candid
Yeah, I've been quite busy.
OK, good to hear. I just wanted a more balanced report based on the write up compared to how western media report about our affairs.
I hope they fix the entire road sooner than later.

Everywhere in this country, it seems like there's an agreement between the devil and political office holders to hinder development... Cos I just don't understand how we can still be at this level in 2019.

Even in Lagos state, almost every road is bad save for Alausa and some parts of Lagos Island... Once you leave those places everywhere else is trashy, with potholes than can swallow an elephant.

You get home and you'll start swallowing Panadol extra and Alabukun because of bad roads...
O ma se o
.
embarassed

And when you talk about Alausa, please mention the roads encircling the secretariat only. Access roads to Alausa are disgraceful. Every year we hear of budget this, budget that. Gone are the days we used to drive on "nylon tarring", as the roads were called then. When the roads were properly made with guarantees from the construction companies. Now they construct roads with sub standard materials on the one hand and on the other hand an eye in the very near future to get contracts of rehabilitation of the same roads. They get job completion certificates from fraudulent government officials who received kickbacks.

At the state and local government level it is a big shame. Local governments used to have caterpillars. Now NONE of them has one in good working condition. If you find one then you'd be requested to pay for the service including filling it up with diesel. This is just to grade the local government controlled streets.

Truly the political class has failed this nation in its absolute sense. With what we see and hear everyday a lot of the so called saints in the APC led governments daily loot the public treasury. For them political positions are meant to serve as platforms to launch them into the common purse of everyone. It was not as bad as this in the military era. God please save this country.

The Sagamu-Ogijo road has come under the spotlight once again and this time, not for the good. Ogun State has one of the worst roads in Nigeria despite being the third richest state in Nigeria. From Ota to Sagamu, to Yewa to Ado-Ota among many other places in the Gateway State, its being a sorry state for the road users who ply these roads daily.

According to the images seen by AutoReportNG, the state of NNPC depot the Sagamu/Ogijo/Ikorodu road calls for urgent rehabilitation work. We gathered that reconstruction works are ongoing at Sagamu road by the Arab Contractors but it seems they have stopped working or nothing seem done. For example, we noticed some construction works right from LASPOTECH towards Odongunyan all the way to Ile-Oba at Ogijo but the contractors are not on-site, the portion already done has started giving way due to heavy vehicular activities and coupled with the rain.

In September, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun disclosed that Lagos and Ogun State Government are planning to commercialize some federal roads in their states.

The roads according to Punch are Ikorodu-Ogijo-Sagamu, Epe-Ijebu- Ode and the Lagos-Ota-Abeokua roads.

Abiodun said Ogun and Lagos State government are planning to engage in Public-Private Partnership in the construction and rehabilitation of the three roads.

Abiodun said he had met with Sanwo-Olu and both of them have agreed to commercialise the roads by bringing in private investors to fund and toll the roads.

He said, “I met with my counterpart, Sanwo-Olu and we decided that as a matter of urgency we need to take over some roads which include; Epe-Ijebu road, Ikorodu-Sagamu road and Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta road so as to reduce the population of the people passing the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

“I and Sanwo-Olu met with the president to hand over those three roads to us, we sat down with the President and explained things to him.

“He told us to put it in writing, we wrote a joint letter which has our two logos on it, we both signed it and I personally handed it over to Mr President, and a few weeks ago, the president handed over the road to us.”

It will be recalled in 2018 that the federal government claimed to be reconstructing the Sagamu-Ogijo road and they claimed that the road has reached 70% completion. This is 2019, while we await the completion date, these are some of the photos of the axis as seen by AutoReportNG.
