Lecturers of the University of Port Harcourt allegedly demand sex for grades from students of the Institution though the information is not yet clear as at the time of this report.

From the radio conversation monitored by BelieveSpot on Tuesday 8th October, 2019, the Vice President of the University of Port Harcourt Student's Union Government, Comr Oduh Amarachi Grace told the radio Presenter that sex for grades is not a new thing in the Institution, though, she didn't mention any name but insisted there are rumours of lecturers who demand for sex from the female students to award grades.

In her words; "I have heard of some lecturers demanding sex from the students for grades"

When asked if she think the students are afraid to come out, she said "Yes, because they think they will be implicated and their image might be damage." She added that some student think they will be victimised by the lecturers if they (students) dare expose any of them in the institution.

Furthermore, she agreed that it is two-way thing that some students also go to the lecturers offering them sex to upgrade their scores.

She advised the school management to set up adequate measure to checkmate this menace in the Institution.
