This explanation doesn't make any sense at all. Why would you pay anything if you disagree with a ruling and plan to appeal the same ruling? The appeal should incorporate every aspect of the ruling: the cost, the security payment, the punitive damages … everything!

By agreeing to honor any part of the ruling, they have technically accepted the judgement of the court and any appeal would be nullified.

This is the price Nigeria got to pay for the criminal conduct of a former petroleum minister, Late Alhaji Rilwanu Luqman.

Meanwhile, the northern cabals are even hiding Mohammed Bakindo from the case.
Bakindo need to be charge to court to explain his role in this contract scam.

Leave the hypocrites.Let them continue to blame Jonathan.

They need to learn how to respect court orders now.

SURE !

THEM NO DEY WASTE TIME FOR THAT !

The funny thing is that Nigeria respect International court order especially at the tail end where they have officially misbehave and shown their NIGERIAN FACTORS.

The International law get their brain reset immediately.

Obasanjo and Jonathan did it in the Bakassi issue involving Nigeria and Cameroun over ownership of the Bakassi Peninsula which the Cameroun won in the International court.

Even long before they think of settling the Bakassi inhabitants they have already handed over the land to the Cameroonian in obedience to court order.

Meanwhile, Obasanjo foolishly went into court case with the Cameroonian without taking time to do some homework and see how he can defend that land militarily for years at least to checkmate the Cameroonians government of President Paul Biya.

Now Buhari is obeying another International court order on the P & I D issue they describe it with one big legal word STAY OF EXECUTION.

If it is purely a Nigeria issue, President Buhari will not respect court order but he is shaking and frightened by International law.

We can see it in the El Zakzaky, Col Sambo ( rtd ) and the Sowore court cases were court order were passed but the federal government refuses to obey.

Such is the behaviors of Nigeria 's leader.

I think International laws works best for Nigeria as they are fainthearted when International court brings their disciplinary action on the federal government.

THEIR BRAIN GET RESET INSTANTA ! with International law that comes with court order.

The law as they say is an ass.
Pid does not need an office to sue you or Nigeria.
If you are sued for frivolous reasons and you refuse to defend yourself, judgment is issued against you.

He said, “The Federal Government has a good chance of being successful in its impending appeal, otherwise the commercial court would not have allowed the appeal.

“Please note that Nigeria will be able to demand a refund of the £250,000 to P&ID when the government wins the appeal. This fact is being hidden by those who have been spinning the London judgment in their own favour.

This guys are deliberately deluding themselves as well as giving Nigerians false hope of a victory that is also delusional while the FG lawyer's have just won themselves a lottery even when they know that it is not a winnable case.

This is the same scenario that played out at ICJ where Nigeria was once again deluding itself then thinking it was going to win over Cameron and the lawyers that also handled that case then for the FG also won themselves a lottery while the FG remained their ever paying maga that lost bakasi peninsula to Cameron and still lost lots of million $s in attorney fees.

No lessons learned

The FG needs to listen to this song "Telli person" by Timaya.

This money can fix a lot of roads in Nigeria for public good now we are obeying court order to pay the money even when the main case has not been looked into.

You dey mind them? They now went and sued a civil servant Grace to court for signing the document as if a civil servant's signature alone can validate a contract for the govt. When you see their zombies shouting PDP up and down, you'll just pity their poor souls. The same barkindog and crookman were in PDP to perpetrate the fraud yet they are being shielded by an APC govt simply because they're members of the cabal. Barkindog is even representing us in OPEC!! undecided shocked
