Happened to me just last week when I went to my hometown, it was terrible, I left the barber shop in annoyance, put on a fez cap and traveled back to my base in Osogbo to redo the hair with my one and only barber. I swore I will never be caught in such situation again.

One even shaved off all my eyebrows... And now did one nonsense pattern that reached the back of my head and I just got admission then.... And I was thinking I'll rock fine boy small... Thank God I didn't pay

I have a very simple head shape but whenever I go out there to have a cute cut I end up in book of Lamentations.

I tried having a special barber many times but they are never giving be a unique and constant look.

Many barbers [Ogas end up becoming an apprentice when they finish cutting my hair ] and some apprentice spends a whole day on cutting my hair.

The sad truth is that I had never gone to a barber and returned with my initial planed cut

Damn! My experience wasn't a good one at all. I went to my normal spot, and the main guy wasn't there, but I didn't think the apprentice was a real "learner" cos he appeared confident. I usually like closing my eyes while getting a haircut...I use that time to visualize. At some point, I noticed I was feeling unusual pain while the guy was doing friction and shaping the front of my head. When I opened my eyes...WTF! The guy had carved my hair inside...I don't know how to explain it sef. Imagine my hairline is a straight road, and at some point, the road just detours...like you are on third mainland and you detour to Yaba I was so mad but I had to keep my cool cos I have a bad temper and I didn't want to overreact. The main guy came just at that point and took over. He almost slapped that guy. He apologized to me like ten times, but I knew I wasn't going back there any time soon.

...... The worst episode happened to me while I was in secondary school. I was a regular customer there and of course my mum usually followed me on such trips. I asked for my normal hairstyle which his Oga knew well but he wasn't around and I didn't trust the Apprentice to do the job well but my mum insisted that the dude should be the one to cut my hair. The guy started and I thought he was doing well until he was nearly done and then I realized that Baba had created another punk oh. It was like I had a flat sponge of thick hair on my head. I complained about it but my mum said it was fine like that. I knew it wasn't because the moment I stepped in school the next day ....na Sponge Bob they renamed my sorry ass ...Omo, it wasn't funny one bit....

Damn! I just recall the time I had some silly encounter with a deaf n dumb baba! I was in elementary 10! I got into the shop met this dude looking all responsible n smart! I got to the sit and he put the apron bout me! I wondered why he didn't say anything but just locked up! Anyway I explained to him I needed a punk cut, but shouldn't be too low! This nigga just nodded n continued applying the liquid to his clipper! And It was my uncle that took me there for the first time! Bruh before I knew this nigga had put the clipper in front of the punk and removed my punk that I was keeping as at then! F#ck!!!! I looked at him like wtf dude But was still pulling my head back to continue the crap he was doing! OMG!!! I almost went loco! I was so pissed off! It was some dude over there that said nigga deaf n dumb!!!

To Cut the story Short.one man just came say he want to Barber Round Cut, Which is Punk.and me I didn't use to the name called Round Cut. Straight away I carry clipper Baber this Man LowCut.the man almost beat me.i just call my Oga for phone say Customer dey wait for him.when my Boss arrive the Man Explain Everything to him.My Boss just beg the man. It's really hard not to have been a victim of such as a guy especially at certain stage of your life except you are those who outrightly emphasize on the skills of the barber before he begins but even at that, it takes one or two icky experiences to make one cautious of such.

My experience was almost about 2 decades ago while I was in JSS 2 in a boarding school. Even though the cost of getting a haircut in the closest salon was just N50, I opted to visit a fellow boarder staying in another hostel who uses razor blade and comb to cut people's hair at the rate of N30 probably out of greed or Childishness not realizing that the so called barber was just being over rated and is only good at giving people with roundly shaped head a good looking cut.
That was how I went and sat down in his front, he did the job and gave me a mirror to confirm his work. When I looked at the mirror, I wasn't comfortable with what he did there and I told him to at least correct the curve he made in my forehead because I don't have a roundly shaped head like most of his clients. This guy kept craping the curve on my forehead until he successfully made me looked like a young tortoise.
It was after we went on break and came back to school that a friend of mine said he met the guy as an apprentice in one of the villages he visited during holidays.

I was like whattttttttt! So this guy was just using people learn his trade in a coded way?

I have seen a guy whose regular style is skin. If you still don't cut it right he would end up with rashes .

Few days to my marriage introduction ceremony, I had this very nice low hair cut I did just before I travelled down home from my base. Two days to the Day,I thought it would be nice if I did a lil carving and adjustments to make the hair look newer. (I was ignorant of the fact that I was to trim the hair to a certain state before I use a clipper). Ah, I didn't even know that the guy I met there was learning work, so I sat down and this guy used clipper to trim my long hair instead of starting with scissors, I was groaning cos I can't remember the last time I was on lowcut as a girl, the boy was complaining "Aunty, your hair too full, e too full, how person go carry 3people hair sef" More complaints and grumbling . Tcheeeewwwww! When he was done, he charged me 1k, I was like "Ehn!!". Dude was like "Madam, the hair too full abeg". I had to give him sha. Only for me to get home to be laughed at that I resembled a widow.
I still remember that damn day! .

That was how in a bid to join beard gang, I allowed my beard grow long and bushy for a while, and in just one swipe this aboki brought everything down

Reminds me of my own ordeal . Went to this my barbers shop to cut my hair. I stopped keeping afro for almost 2 years, so I was just on skin fade that grew after 3 weeks. As I reach, my barber dey on person head already but since I needed to cut it fast so I could drop my brother in school. I sat on the empty chair, I usually don't tell my barber what to barb me, he just uses his intiative and maintains the current style. Na so this young chap, come tie me cloth, carry clipper.... My God, baba don give me that style Wey bad pass "go to school" when I dey follow my old boy go barber that year, the pain I just dey endure make e no be say I go come dey cry like pikin for small barber hand. Las, Las, as e finish, I dey observe my head for mirror, Ich bin for me oh . My original barber sef come look the head sef follow pity me. Na so I tell am to just try blend everything.
Anyways, the young barber gave me motivation, I bought a mirror and sent my clipper blades for sharpening, ever since then, I dey cut my hair by myself.
