On Tuesday, 11th October, Corp members under Community development service of NYSC secretariat Kaltungo Local Government of Gombe state met with market Union on integration and development of education especially to street hawking children who don't go to school, VAM News reports.


The union, represented by its executives and some members appreciate the Corps members efforts and promise their cooperation as usual. 



The Market Union, through the Leader, Malam Baba also promise to take into action a policy that will enable the union to get as much children of the poor as they can to schools with school uniforms and some books, just as requested by the Corps members. 



The relationship between Corps members and the traders union or market Union is long lasting relationship not only in Kaltungo but the country at large. 



"The Society and all sellers and buyers belong to your union, and they have rights over you, the street hawking children are also traders which are part of you, why not enacting a policy to mandate any child willing to hawk on Kaltungo street to go school before coming out for hawking...... " a Corp member added.

After discouraging it, government must do the needful to make "schooling" a worthy venture.

It's sad that we have so many out-of-school children forced into self-entrepreneurship just to survive! And we have blind leaders today who benefitted so much from the beginning days of Nigeria (There was a country)...getting jobs amd scholarship to study... But the retards have bitten the hands that fed them.. Forcing and extorting the same people they ought to be protecting.


You'd be surprised to know that even these children are also "taxed" to pay revenue to the taskforce in some markets!!!
