Wow! So sorry Plutoman. I, of all people, know the stress in a long journey to work. The traffic, expenses, stress and all sorts is really not worth it. Pele. I don't have 50k to borrow you o but I have this free advice for you that requires appealing to the people in your real life that would yield the required fund. This forum is filled with strangers that are not inclined to borrow you money my dear, me inclusive. 1. Talk to your boss. Yes do. You can even claim that the said cousin says it's no longer convenient to house you. Ask him for the loan with your Certs as collateral and draw a repayment arrangement with him. You see, cost of hiring is mostly higher than the amount you're asking...guy will be inclined to help considering the real cost of the alternative( rehiring and tardiness) 2. Meet the owner of the space you want to let and explain your plight. Propose a post paid arrangement for your first 2 months even if it means offering to pay higher rent. You could use your certs as collateral and get guarantors too. 3. Look towards your family, friends, neighbours, church/mosque members, Ajo groups, branch/realmoney/ etc that borrow people money with the use of an app. You will be fine...you have better chance of getting loans from familiar folks. I can't imagine chasing a stranger for repayment 7 Likes |

Give your certificates to the owner of the space you want to squat in. Move in and pay him in two installments. To convince him, show him your appointment letter and even ID card if possible to show you are not lying. May God help you! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Plutoman:Sorry. Try your school friends. Don’t you have any in Lagos? You can also ask around at work to see if anyone is looking for a room mate where you can pay monthly. You never know if you don’t ask. Just tell them you are having accommodation issues. You don’t want to live in a house with a landlord that is not understanding anyway. So, be happy he said no. I thought though that you wanted to squat with someone? |

Talk to drivers in your office, they have places within the Island where they manage to hang their heads Monday to Friday each week . Even office securities and those mallams watching over uninhabited buildings in VI/IKoyi will help you for a token or free if you are honest. There are two cheap hostels in TBS area were you can pay daily. 3 Likes |

If you use FCMB Bank.. kindly dial *329*6# with your phone and you could get a Fast Cash Loan up to N50k.. No collateral... No nothing.. if you can pay back before the due date... They'll increase the amount to maybe N100k or so.. 2 Likes |
