A group of Nigerians went on the rampage, damaging vehicles in Pragati Nagar, Nalasopara (E), India on Wednesday after a Nigerian national was reportedly murdered in the early hours of the day.

According to Times of India, The deceased, Jut Ke Joseph was punched, kicked and left to die after a drinking binge with fellow Nigerians at 3.30 am on Wednesday.

It was reported that the 35-year-old Joseph was rushed to the hospital by the Police where he was confirmed dead.

After the rampage by Nigerians, the locals retaliated by blocking the Nigerians residential areas and prevented them from coming out.

The police, however, have surrounded the area, to boost the security in that area, the police had detained some suspects and autopsy is been carried out.

It was also reported that the Nigerian consulate have been contacted.
