They are political statements intended to actually test the strength and the capability of the South to resist their action. Look at what the Vice President is facing just because he stands qualified to be the best President if given the opportunity. And nobody is talking. If not for him, only God knows what would have become of the threats from the Niger Delta agitators. Also our exchange rate would have climbed to #600.00 per US Dollar. He brought it down to #360.00.God will raise neutral voices for his people are render them useless in His own way.

In the case of Nwodo, I am not surprised. Nwodo is to ambitious and greedy. I can remember this same man stopped the creation of another state in Abia, just because he wanted the state to be created in Enugu so that he can become the Governor.

Yinka Odumakin must refrain from casting aspersions on the President because it's of no use as he stands alone on his negative views.

Why should he refrain? If it was someone from the southern part that has been making those statements, the federal government will term it hate speech. Now, no-one is even looking at his direction.

nairavsdollars:
Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, said on Thursday that President Muhammadu Buhari had decided to turn a blind eye to inciting statements by some Northern leaders because they are both on the same page.

Junaid Mohammed, in a recent interview, had said the Igbo were free to secede if denied the presidency in 2023, while Ango Abdullahi had also said there was nothing wrong if the North remained in power for the next 100 years.

Speaking in with Daily Independent, Yinka Odumakin, Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, said he was not surprised that the Federal Government and security agencies had not cautioned the likes of Junaid because they were only verbalising the policies of the government which was aimed at alienating some sections of the country.

He said it was surprising that Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, should be languishing in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) with a stringent bail condition while the likes of Junaid and Ango, who were making statements capable of dividing the country, were walking free.

Odumakin said: “The Federal Government sees nothing wrong in these statements because they are singing from the same hymn book.

“The government is implementing exclusive policies, alienating sections of the country, and people like Junaid Mohammed and Ango Abdullahi are just verbalising what the Federal Government is doing. They are only verbalising what the government is acting.

“That is why the security agencies have not called them to order. It is only those who call for revolution that they arrest and give impossible bail conditions.

“But these kinds of people who are making statements that can divide the country and set it ablaze, they don’t even take any notice.”
In a related development, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, on Thursday said elder statesman and Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed, lied when he claimed he (Nwodo) came to the North, knelt down and begged to be made president.

unaid, in an interview with Daily Independent had said: “Are you telling me because John Nwodo is the president of Ohanaeze I should ask people to vote for him? I will not.

“He came all the way from Enugu with a delegation and we had a meeting in a house not very far from my house, I think it is the house of a former governor of Kaduna State, Lawal Jafaru Isa.

“We had a meeting there in which John Nwodo went on his knees begging us to make him president. We laughed at him. In our culture, you don’t come here and say you people should make me this or that. We allow people to point at you and say you are good to occupy certain positions.”

However, speaking with our correspondent, Nwodo described Junaid’s statement as lies, saying he would soon respond.

“He (Junaid) is telling lies. I am in a meeting right now but I will soon respond. We will issue a statement very soon,” Nwodo said.

President Muhammadu Buhari will not speak against his foot soldiers that are spreading his own traditional beliefs.

GOD ALMIGHTY WILL GET NIGERIA RESTRUCTURED VERY SOON.

We only need to be more prayerful.

Those who think they can use their humanly powers to influence negative belief upon Nigeria will pass away in due course.

Those political leaders like Junaid Mohammed who are threatening bloodshed will die before their time.

Looked at these so called fragmented group with 3 factions! Which one do they want the president to reply to?
Anyway juniadu is not a Buharis' footsoldier and his press statements was factual though, rass. He doesn't insult or call for the separation of the country, he only expressed the decay in these sociopolitical groups.
Junaidu doesn't say if southern Nigeria produced a presidential candidate, the north will not vote for the person, he doesn't say that Nigeria will break if the north in not allowed to produced the next president!

His kinsmen are civil, educated and very diplomatic.
They'd never say the things he says about the President even if they are true.

That is courtesy even if some people wrongly interprete it as cowardice.
The President is the father of the nation. The father is never wrong and even if he is, it is not in the place of a son to correct him.

Though i am a Yoruba but as far as am concern a lot is wrong with Afenifere it self, Sowere was in detention since all this while, you did nothing to bring him out rather than all this ranting, All the kings in Yoruba land are there they they all kept mute. The so call Jagaban because Buhari was his alley supported that the So were should be detained more, while Buhari and his Cabals know how to free bokoharam, bandits and Herder that killed innocent Nigerians for fun. When will Yoruba as a tribe be responsible?

I almost agree completely with you but for sidelining the south east I don't think you are sincere n fair, Nigeria must not continue to treat igbos as outcast if we are talking about justice n equity,in 1999 it was the north that brought obasanjo with out him investing anything in pdp so let the same northerners look for an igbo man of their choice at least n give him power too.

Your VP and his cohorts are among the betrayers and saboteurs of southern unity, he is only being paid in his own coin, let the betrayers retrace their steps, then the whole south will start on a fresh page United.
