Guess many will avoid this post especially the horde of miscreants constituting nuisance on this platform, long read ain't their thing.

Meanwhile this got me cracked up;

"When asked about the Abakaliki rice from Ebonyi state and the Coscharis rice, he said the Abakaliki rice was also as scarce as others while stressing that they were yet to see Coscharis rice in Owerri. “For now, people that want to buy Coscharis rice, we refer them to the television where they saw the advertorials."
Coscharis rice is produced in Anambra and not Ebonyi so it could still be scarce there as Ebonyi rice is not easy to get anywhere in Anambra or Owerri. Coscharis rice is quite common in Anambra.

People must smuggle because what they are smuggling in is in high demand. Very soon the border closure would be a waste of time and resources.

Devil blessed black man with greediness, and he channelled it to his personal gain'

Government closed the border to improve our homeland product which will definitely result to large patronising

But some folks somewhere are already 're-bagging' local rice as a foreign one exonerate the price of local rice to the extreme an average individual can not attain just because of their insatiable desire for great profits

At least the border closure is the only positive thing Buhari would ever done since he came into power

Actually, the main effect is that there won't be much local rice in the market. People would be looking at local rice thinking that we're looking at foreign rice. Funny. One responder even said that people don't know the difference between the taste of local and foreign rice.

[quote author=Proffdada post=83274807][b]The stupid fool of a president closed borders instead of providing alternatives to push indigenous production which will force people to stop buying from abroad. He's just digging his grave here and in afterlife .
I know if it's a young person he'll surely know what to do

You must be a professor of PuffPuff because you don't know anything.
Do you always comment without thinking ? Do you know anything about cause and effect in the economy?

At the end of the day it's still the common man that will bear the brunt.
The policy makers will receive free rice from lobbyists.
Coscharis, Dangote & other large scale producers that lobbied for border closure so they could recoup their investments should let us know why their rice are not available to the public. Are they waiting till 50kg = ₦50,000 before they bring out theirs? Initially they kept claiming that the influx of foreign rice was stiffling local production. Are the local farmers & retailers saying that if they sell the local rice below 15k they wouldn't make profit?...
Meanwhile Bubu without steady power supply in naija which way?

E clear say na jollof beans and fried beans people go eat this Christmas.
My dear don't mind them. They always advocate for buy naija to grow the naira but can't set good examples. Imagine FG making huge allocation for senators cars',but can't patronize the likes of innosson. Their medical care is abroad but the local man is restricted to services gotten at home.

Sad but true
How many public office holders will even go to government primary & secondary hospitals?
How can there be improvement in the system when the lawmakers are not users/stakeholders.
If it is made mandatory for them & their immediate family members to only use public hospitals... Our hospitals will be revamped immediately
