There are several ways by which you can check your admission status if you have applied to one or more higher institutions. Many institutions have now opted for the electronic method of passing out information.

Gone are the days when you would have to travel from your location several times to the institution you have applied to in order to check if you got admission. Gone are the days when you would have to pay people or call people you know who are close to the location of the institution to help you check.

Now, you can easily check your admission status by yourself on your phone or check it out in a cyber café, or anyone who has data and printer. There are many ways to check your admission status. We will explain four of them:

Through JAMB CAPS
Checking through the school’s website
Through email
Checking through the Post-UTME/Screening portal

THROUGH JAMB CAPS

You can easily check your admission status through the JAMB Caps option. Many have been getting their admission notices, especially schools like Federal Poly, Ado and others. All you have to do is follow the following steps:

Go to https://jamb.org.ng/
Click on Create e-facility Account/Log in
Type in your email address (or registration number) and password
Move down to the last option and click on CHECK ADMISSION STATUS
You will be brought to a page with two options: (a) ACCESS ALL MY CAPS (b) Check Admission Status
Click on any of the two
If you click on ACCESS ALL MY CAPS, you will be brought to another page. On the left hand side, click on Check Admission Status.
Then you will be brought to another page where you will be shown if you have gotten admission or not. If you have, you can choose the option to accept or reject the admission offer.

THROUGH THE SCHOOL’S WEBSITE

Some institutions are in the habit of posting all the names of the students who have gotten admission. The schools that do this are rare though. If your school falls in that category, just keep checking the school’s website.

THROUGH EMAIL

ou can also easily check your admission status through the email you used to register for the Post-UTME. All you have to do is keep checking your email for any message from the school.

THROUGH THE POST-UTME/SCREENING PORTAL

The post-UTME or screening portal is also a great place to check your admission status. All you have to do is log in with the email and password you used to register and check if there is any message.
