On this day the most anticipated award giving ceremony was unceremoniously boycotted for the Wizkid 02 London show.

The Headies Award saw newfaces like the housemates of the recently concluded BBnaija pepper Dem Gang season. As opposed to the usual flock of celebrities which had graced the earlier years of the Headies Award. It must be said that this years Headies could officially be a flop.

Viewers who had hoped to see the replay of the lil kesh and Reekys saga. Were left disappointed because most of the artistes were not in the country to receive their awards. And from the look on the Next rated winner he seems not to be happy about not being at the O2. Performing at the O2 is a major achievement for Big acts not to talk of Rema a Next rated act. His competition Fireboy was able to gain a place at the O2

To the Wizkids O2 that was big enough to pull clout and major social media attention away from the yearly anticipated Headies. Major Acts and Some upcoming acts had been signed up for the show tonight going down in London. All Nigerias Heavyweight in the Entertainment industry are billed to perform at the O2 Arena on Wizkids request. And this enjoyed Clout and Social media attention until........

Africas Biggest Act Davido announced the Delivery of his Son. At this moment congratulations and all sort of well wishes are coming in. This news has taken most of the shine away from other news like headies and O2. As the Birth of little OBO was most anticipated and had even bagged an endorsement deal prior to his birth. I am happy for this Davido, Wizkid and all the recipients of Headies award .
