The National Union of Urhobo Students Uniben/Ubth show case their culture in a unique style at the main campus Ugbowo Benin City yesterday 19th Oct., 2019. The event is being celebrated annually by all sons and daughters of Urhobo in the campus. The Urhobo cultural day celebration is undoubtedly the most famous cultural day celebration at the campus, no wonder all most all staffs and students are very familiar with these Urhobo words even when they don't know the meaning. On sighting the Urhobo attires, you will hear words like, "Osé (father), olorogue ( Chief) migwo (greetings) mavuo ( how are you) and the most famous one " Urhobo wadoo or Urhobo ovuovo".
The event which usually draw the attention of both staffs and students of the University, dignitaries from dalta state, traditional Rulers/Chief from Urhobo land and other guest. The Urhobo students are known for their unique and energetic dance leaving many people wondering of these energetic dance Step ( indeed they can dance). The event was marked with Urhobo drama, Ema dance, wrestling, Miss Nuus competition, presentation of award among others.
Indeed the Urhobo had a unique culture, and the Urhobo students in uniben are very proud of their culture. How well are you proud of your cultural?
