First Male Franco-funai Benefiary Returns by cyborgFUNAI: 5:25pm On Oct 20, 2019
Dr Mrs. Nnenna Nwosu-Nworah on Tuesday 15th October, 2019, presented the third returnee from France, upon completion of his post-graduate scholarship programme to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba and other officers of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, at the VC’s Conference Room. Presenting Mr. Uchenna Nwokenkwo, Dr. Nwosu-Nworah said that he went to University of Bourgogne Franche-Comte’ Besamcon (UBFC) in 2017, to study Mechanical Engineering, under AE-FUNAI-France Collaboration and successfully completed his M.Sc. Degree studies with specialization in Control Mechatronics in record time and returned. She said that Mr. Nwokenkwo made record as the first male beneficiary who heeded her advice and came back in due time.

Dr Nnenna pointed out that UBFC has very good reports about the six AE-FUNAI staff studying there and had urged them to stay back at the university, but for her, that would not be in the interest of our young university where their services are most needed for them to contribute to the growth of the University and give back to the system as expected. She said that two more male beneficiaries from the same University were expected back soon.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba expressed gratitude to God for blessing the good intentions and plans for our staff ‘’the fruits of the planted are being harvested and God is blessing the work of our hands’’ he said. He welcomed Mr. Nwokenkwo back home and acknowledged the good things the university in France said about AE-FUNAI staff studying there. Nwajiuba reiterated that it is ‘’good to be faithful in small things’’ and told the returnee that because of his faithfulness, the University would show him love. He however warned that any of them who fails to respect the bond will not earn any respect from the University.

VC, in a warm embrace with Mr. Uchenna Nwokenkwo, with Dr. Nnenna Nwosu-Nworuh watching in admiration.

Mr. Nwokenkwo, shared his very wonderful experiences out there in France and thanked VC and the University Management for the opportunity, pledging his continuous loyalty and faithfulness to the university.
