Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the ruling party will correct the mistakes made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa state if it wins the governorship election.
Oshiomhole spoke at the launch of the party’s campaign in Ogbia town, Ogbia local government area of the state.

He said the party has presented a good team and was confident of winning the November 16 governorship election in the state.
Oshiomhole said APC’s victory at the poll would restore hope to the people of the state and rebuild their confidence in government.

“APC is coming to right the wrongs of the PDP government in Bayelsa state, come November 16,” he said.

“The APC government, under David Lyon, will work assiduously to provide security, employment, and empowerment for all Bayelsa people.

“I understand that my dear friend, the outgoing governor of Bayelsa, is already visited by the withdrawal syndrome facing any governor close to the end of his tenure.

“I want to assure him, on behalf of our candidate, Lyon, that he is not coming to chase him away or witch-hunt him; our candidate is only coming to correct his wrongs.

“Our desire is to see that the people of Bayelsa will witness greater development and sustainable growth.”

He assured the people of the state that the ruling party is ready to bring positive change to the state.

“APC is coming to make a difference in Bayelsa; Lyon will not betray those who stand by him; he will carry the youth along; he understands the language of poverty,” he said.

“Lyon understands the deprivation which this state and people of the south-south went through, and that is why he decided to fight for justice.”

In his speech, David Lyon, APC governorship candidate, promised to implement policies that will bring development to the state.

He promised to revive the Kolo Creek gas turbine to ensure adequate power supply in the state.

“I am a man of my words; I will not fail my people; Bayelsa’s money will be used for the good of all; I am coming to serve my people and not for them to serve me,” Lyon said.

“There is insecurity in Bayelsa at the moment; we will handle it adequately; I will work for the development of our state.

“We shall ensure adequate power supply in Bayelsa; our gas turbine will be revived under my government.”

This statement sounds very hypocritical and fool.ish to me. Imagine APC that has failed at the National Level coming to correct the wrongs of the PDP in Bayelsa State. He should go to Edo State and see all the wrongs his senile party has been correcting.

Its not about APC or PDP, but personally, I feel Lyon is better than Diri and Dickson together. Alaibe would have bin better but Dickson was too greedy

Are u in Bayelsa? there was a PDP campaign 3days ago and APC campaigned same day. It was clear that APC will win the state, I could not believe that only touts and some few politicians attended, the outcome was poor

you are biased please ,don't tell me what's not. Over 5k Apc decamped enmass to pdp rally in bayelsa state and you are here fronting Timi alaibe that lost flawlessly on the pdp primary election. Bayelsa state is pdp. From the bayelsans so far, they can't settle with APC that increased VAT ,foods, petroleum price and inflation .
