Normally, bilateral meetings are supposed to establish mutually beneficial relations between nations.
The write-up seems incomplete because the journalist did not mention the benefits that Russia might derive from the discussion during the meeting or does he try to misinform the population for political reasons?
No nation is immune to challenge that needs international collaboration. Bilateral meeting is a win-win situation and, in most cases, the western world benefits more because they seem to be hiding their exploitative tendencies under the guise of helping or supporting the Third World countries.
Nigeria has entered into countless bilateral agreement and sometimes the government will colour it to look as if, such will end the suffering of a common man the next day but all turned out to disappointments.
Let's always have a balance reportage on bilateral talks as to understand what we stand to lose while we gain some...
My candid opinion though

I know but scared about the implications of entrusting that to KGB.
KGB doesn't exist any more it died with the Soviet Union. Also you shouldn't be scared of ZRussia they are one of the largest makers of nuclear plants also don always belive mainstream media because they are designed to shape perspective to suite their narrative hence the plenty propaganda about Russia
