Lionel Messi created yet another champions league history with his goal in Barcelona's 2-1 slim victory over Slavia Prague.

The Argentine made himself the first player to ever score at least once in 15 consecutive Champions League seasons.

Messi's goal came after three minutes of play, after a quick exchange of pass with Arthur Melo put him neatly through the static Slavia's goal area before slotting it pass goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar with a low left-footed shot.

While Messi helped Barcelona overcome Slavia, another exciting player helped Napoli overcome Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Napoli's striker Dries Mertens found the back of the net twice to give the Serie A club the bragging rights over Salzburg. He broke an age-long record with his brace, he has got a total of 116 goals for Napoli to edge Argentine Legendary Diego Marqadona as the club's second highest scorer behind Marek Hamsik.
