The National Identification Number (NIN) is an important 11 digit number that is assigned to every Nigerian after the completion of their registration by the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC).

Some weeks ago, the federal government had implored Nigerians to apply for their National Identification Card. The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has also mandated the use of National Identification Number (NIN) for 2020 UTME registration.

For those reasons, I will be showing you how to apply for the National Identification Number (NIN) in two easy steps.

What Are The Needed Documents For NIN Registration?

It is very important to note that you will be required to tender one of the under-listed documents at the NIMC enrolment/registration centre.

- Original Voter's Card
- Old National Identification Card
- Valid Driver's License
- Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
- Valid International Passport
- State of Origin Certificate
- Valid Government/Private Staff Identification Card
