As a motivation ahead of Thursday’s semi-final clash between Nigeria and Cameroon, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has promised Super Falcons cash prizes of $1,500 each for victory against the Indomitable Lionesses.

Falcons will face their longest African Women Championship rivals 10.30 a.m at the Sinaba Stadium in a repeat of their 2008 third place clash in Equatorial Guinea.

The amount , promised the players would be jacked up, if they make it to the finals on Sunday. Meanwhile, the NFA has urged the girls to brace up for the Thursday game.

The officials, who have arrived South Africa to boost the players’ morale, expressed, reservations on display of indiscipline among the players at the training ground Tuesday evening.
NFA board member, Suleiman Kwande, who was on hand to witness the team train, in a brief chat with Dailysunsports, disclosed that the players’ attitude duringt the training session left much to be desired.
Kwande said the Cameroon game is the most important match of the tournament because it is the determinig factor that would earn the Falcons a place in the final and automatically qualify them for the FIFA 2011 Women World Cup in Germany.
“I am bit worried with the conduct of the girls during training this evening.I expected them to be more bussiness minded but intstead, they were giggling and smiling too much.
“The stage we are in now is very high and crucial, the outcome of the game against Cameroon would determine if we would be at the World Cup next year. Kwande said.
