Lokoja, the Kogi State capital on Friday agog as opposition party PDP stages a rally to draw support ahead of the gubernatorial election slated for November 16.

Party loyalists from different parts of the state were seen trooping to the state capital, with the party's flags and diverse campaign inscriptions and songs.

Vanguard learnt some of the party members were overwhelmed as the embattled senator representing Kogi west, Dino Melaye arrived the venue, and started to chant the latter's praises to show goodwill.

In his remarks, Melaye thanked the people for their endless supports and assured them of massive victory in the coming election slated for November 16.

There's tight security as Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) laden with men and officers of the Nigerian Police, who were fully on ground to ensure security and maintenance of law and order.
