Vietnamese victims are thought to be among 39 migrants who were found dead in a lorry in the Purfleet area of Essex on Wednesday.

It comes as families continue to pray for news of their relatives who set off on perilous journeys to the UK, after it was revealed that one woman had text her mother from inside the 'metal coffin'.

Pham Thi Tra My sent her mother a series of harrowing messages telling her she 'loved her' and was 'dying because she couldn't breathe.'


Her family claim the 26-year-old paid people smugglers £30,000 to travel to the UK via China 'in search of a better life.'

20-year-old Nguyen Dinh Luong has also been named by relatives as a possible victim of the Essex lorry deaths.

The bodies of the 39 dead migrants are being moved one-by-one by private ambulance from Tilbury docks to Chelmsford mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

The husband and wife named by MailOnline as the last known owners of the lorry carrying 39 migrants who froze to death were arrested today after police swooped on their £400,000 Cheshire home.

Few days ago, a UK family comprising of husband, wife and their three children were arrested by the border patrol after illegally crossing into the US through from Canada. Is UK not among the top ‘first world’ countries?

For a fact, China is witnessing an unprecedented economic prosperity and infrastructural development but that wouldn’t preclude some of her citizens from wanting to migrate, it is part of human nature. Too bad they were migrating through the wrong channel.

That’s really cold and insensitive, regardless of their nationality or race they died hard and @bolded we have Americans that are migrating to Canada in hundreds and so on it doesn’t have to do with the country it has to do the persons, they might just decide to migrate based on personal decision!!

if you can make 30k usd in your home country then you dont need to travel to uk
