A chieftain of APC in Abia state, Chief Anyim Chinenye Nyerere has expressed sadness over the loss of Abia South Senatorial District to the ruling party in the state, the PDP.

He also said the incumbent Senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe has performed below expectation to deserve another term at the upper legislative chamber.

He made this known on Thursday in a chat with ABN TV in Abuja.

The former governorship candidate of APC said he won the 2018 primary election conducted by his party to contest the Senatorial district's election but expressed surprise that Chief Marc Wabara whom he said came second in the election eventually flied the party's flag.

While attributing the sudden exchange of his name with that of Marc Wabara to desperation and gang up, he insisted that if he had flied the party's flag at the general election, he would have dislodged and send Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe to political oblivion.

He also expressed gratitude to God for giving him victory at both the federal High Court Umuahia, Appeal and eventually Supreme Court as the duly elected candidate of the party for the 2019 election in Abia South after the election was conducted.
