While the list compilation may be argued, but we need to clarify the yardstick we used in rating them.

(1) The group must have a decent membership structure. A group with 500 members may not suffice no matter the engagement on the platform. We understand numbers ain’t the only determinant but it’s sure one of them.

(2) The group must be engaging ; This means that there must be communication and activeness on the group. It doesn’t make sense that a group with 5 million members has only 1 thousand members who are active. It is just like a big house with few real occupants. A top group must have at least 1.5k comments on a post averagely. This is an average comment level in the multitude of posts that would grace the group per day.

(3) The group must have a positive impact on the general populace and the society ; This portends that aside the chats and discussion, the group must in a way give back to the society either by charity, helping people with differing needs and all that.

(4) Drama ; We understand this may be an unpopular method of rating. We understand you may raise eyebrows over this but drama courts participation. A platform that there is no shortage of drama attracts people. In this part of the world, people love controversy and it is valid to say that a group that ain’t short of drama is always a lively group even though the issues therein may not be positive. But drama is a factor though not necessarily the most important.
