Press Release Fulani Herdsmen Did Not Attack Any Community in Enugu - EYC The attention of Enugu Youth Coalition has been drawn to the report suggesting that Fulani Herdsmen were responsible for yesterday's attack in Eke-town in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. In a statement signed by the national coordinator of the coalition, Dr. Edwin Obune, the group said it was wrong to accuse herdsmen of been responsible since the identity of the attackers is yet to be established. While condemning the attack, the Spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu said ''The gunmen were still at large, but it would be wrong to refer to them as Fulani Herdsmen.'' Therefore, we frown at the latest attempt by some agents and their masters to re-invent 'yellow journalism' in Enugu State for whatever reason or purpose. Enugu State is not only peaceful, safe and secure but the people's hospitality is second to none in Nigeria. We therefore condemn the plot by some 'yellow journalists' and their collaborators to portray the state and it's people in the bad light. Enugu remains a destination of choice for all Nigerians irrespective of faith, tribe or political affiliation because the state is in the Hands of God!
