Receiving Mr. Obilikpa, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, who expressed dismay about his extended stay after conclusion of his studies, also admitted that he is proud to have him back after doing so well to uphold the prestige of our dear institution to the point where the Foreign University wants him and other colleagues studying in France to be retained. “Our plants are yielding fruits”, he stated.

Prof. Nwajiuba while addressing those present frowned at what he referred to as a “generational problem” which is the inability to keep to agreement among youth of today, stating that it is an act of indiscipline to disregard an agreement. VC advised that those fortunate enough to benefit from the scholarship scheme should do well to respect the agreement. He further announced that the University Management would be ready to support them to Ph.D. studies and be part of their success story. ‘’We must do the right thing’’, he reiterated, warning that any of them who fails to keep to the agreement and stays longer than necessary or refuses to return at all, would be frowned at and sanctioned accordingly. He wished Mr. Obilikpa the best and encouraged him to give back to the University by imparting his students sufficiently with the knowledge he has acquired.
