Princess Felicia Bassey and a senior citizen in the state, Sir Effiong Effiong Afiakure, Ikpoto Oro have concluded arrangements with Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation (BOF) to sponsor a 1-Week Free Medical Services for members of the public.

The programme which is in partnership with BOF and Root-Care Pharmaceutical and Consult Service Ltd is scheduled to take place at Iquita General Hospital, Oron and is billed to run from November 3 to November 9.

In the package is #150_free_surgeries for various conditions including:

Other medical conditions like #Dental_Check_Up and #Eye_Check_Up amongst others shall equally be taken care of by a team of medical professionals contacted to do the job.

It is expected that participants or would be beneficiaries should avail themselves of the opportunity to be screened ahead of the treatment. This is to allow the medical team assess the patients to ascertain if they require tests and as well get vital information regarding their medical history. The preliminary screening slated to commence today at Iquita General Hospital shall run until the commencement of the treatment.

It is equally important to note that participants shall be booked for treatment during this preliminary screening exercise. Nobody shall be attended to without being screened and booked for the treatment. Therefore, anyone hoping to benefit from the free medical treatment must ensure they undertake the screening.

Distinguished Senator Akon EYAKENYI PhD in company of other sponsors shall on Monday November 4 flag off the free medical treatment at Iquita General Hospital, Oron by 8 AM. Members of the public are thus by this publication invited to attend the flag off ceremony which shall be graced by government functionaries and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the programme, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Rt. Hon. Princess Felicia Bassey and Ikpoto Afiakure said it is a privilege to be used as instrument by God to assist members of the public who may not be able to afford high costs of medical treatments at the moment while calling on those in need of medical attention to make themselves available for the free medical treatment. They commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for renovating and reequipping Iquita General Hospital.

This is yet another act of kindness by our leaders to touch humanity and give back to the society and members of the public should take advantage of this rare opportunity offered for the the good of the less privileged and the downtrodden.

May God bless and replenish Senator Akon Eyakenyi PhD, Rt. Hon. Princess Felicia Bassey and Sir Engr. Effiong Afiakure, Ikpoto Oro.
