What type of "apple Phone" is it? For your info, there are called iPhones

Well it sounds dumb! "apple phone" tongue

Its either 3G, 3GS or 4. post the model number its something like this (a1303a) its found at the back of the device. Is it show an emergency screen? if not, also post the firmware number eg 4.0 4.1

can it be unlocked? i went to computer village but was told that the software aint out yet

try this site http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/supported-phones/rs1wp7/ to unlock your apple phone. it provides codes to unlock it. try this site http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/ to get the instructions to unlock your phone manually,

All iPhone model are unlock-able now including the iPhone 4. You will need Gevey sim to unlock iPhone 4 with baseband 02.10.01 or higher.
