Matthew McConaughey proved he is an angel after helping delivering 1,600 meals to first responders and shelters battling the fires in Los Angeles. McConaugh-bae – who is the creative director of Wild Turkey bourbon – worked with the Operation BBQ Relief team, to provide food to 800 people at 20 fire stations in California. The other 800 meals were prepared for homeless shelters. Can he be any more amazing? The 49-year-old Wolf Of Wall Street actor took to his brand’s social media to encourage people to get involved with the cause. The post was captioned: ‘Wild Turkey With Thanks. We’re in LA with @opbbqrelief, cooking and delivering hot meals to the brave first responders working to contain the California fires. ‘We’re proud to partner with Operation BBQ Relief, join us in supporting their work. Matthew said: ‘Teaming up with Operation BBQ Relief as part of the Wild Turkey ‘With Thanks’ has never been more meaningful. ‘Little did we know when planning this annual event that California, my second home, would once again be hit with devastating fires. ‘Being able to provide meals to the men and women who put themselves on the line is an honour for me, Jimmy and Eddie Russell. He continued: ‘We are grateful to be here today to say thank you, shine a light on their unwavering conviction, and hopefully inspire others to get involved and help in their own communities.’ Meanwhile, when he’s not volunteering, Matthew is teaching the youth of tomorrow.
