Alhaji Aminu Muhammed has emerged as the National Coordinator of The PAN NIGERIA PRESIDENCY OF IGBO EXTRACTION COALITION PANPIEC . Addressing the Press in Abuja on Monday the 28th of October 2019 after a closed door meeting held by the Coalition, Alhaji Aminu said that the Project is not an Igbo project but Nigeria's Project.

The statement reads;

"Gentlemen and women of the fourth estate of the realm

I am pleased to welcome all of you to this august and inaugural Press chat by the PAN NIGERIA PRESIDENCY OF IGBO EXTRACTION COALITION PANPIEC Ordinarily one would feel that its too early to start talking about 2023 Presidency and may be a distraction to the present administration.
However, even in advanced democracies, the end of one political mileage marks the beginning of another. It became necessary to start early enough though without fanfare for now in view of the utterances and comments from some quarters on the 2023 Presidency.

If we want the political and economic stability of Nigeria we need to support an Igbo to be Nigeria President in 2023. Other zones have produced Executive President of Nigeria and its only fair now if the Igbos produce one.
That am heading PANPIEC in this project is an evidence that its its a Nigerian project. Nigerians from all nook and cranny are in PANPIEC as you can see here.
THE Secretary General Kola Alayande is from the West. The Director of Organisation, is from the South South , The Director of Mobilisation and Contact is from the middle belt .Our Director of Publicity is from the South East, and am from the far North.
Its not an Igbo Project but a Nigerian project.
Our phase now and in the nearest future is sensitization of our people and there after we work on the likely candidates.

We shall be briefing the media on our activities in due course.
In no distant time we shall make open our relevant social media handle and other relevant information for all Nigerians to reach us. There are more than eleven organisations in our COALITION and its still open ended."

May God bless our nation as we seek to build a modern harmonious nation.

The last time I checked, presidential elections are contested, won and lost. Every Igbo man has a right to contest the presidency, just like other regions in the country.

The Igbos have been very loyal to the PDP and they have a better chance of getting the presidential ticket under the PDP. Infact the Igbos should demand the PDP presidential ticket, but will they get it? Let us first and foremost discuss the APC.

The APC was formed primarily as a coalition of Northern Elements from Buhari's caucus and Tinubu's South West caucus. Tinubuu also succeeded in bringing in some disgruntled PDP governers - the new PDP and some elements in the South South like Oshiomole and Ameachi. Okorocha, Ngige and Onu were the three Igbo politicians of note that joined. Buhari and Tinubu were both made National leaders and most of the Financing came from South West and Amaechi. Most of the votes in 2015 came from the North and South West.

2015 elections came and the APC won. However a breakdown showed APC got only 5% in the South East. Buhari became president and the SE continued to ridicule him. They called his party Amala and Ewedu party. They also called the APC - Almajeri Peoples Congress. Buhari responded by giving the SE very minimal positions in his government and even defended his position.

2019 came and the same scenario repeated itself. Buhari got 10% in the South East and the same people continued to ridicule him and swore never to work with the APC. The APC responded by even giving fewer positions to the South East. Let's take a moment and look at the top 6 offices in Nigeria

1. President - North West
2. Vice President - South West
3. Senate President - North East
4. Speaker - South West
5. Deputy Senate President - South South
6. Deputy Speaker - North Central
7. Party Chairman - South South

The truth is that the APC does not need the South East. They have won the last two elections without the South East, so the South East is politically useless to the APC. And they APC has responded with the zoning arrangements. The South South even has much more say in the APC than the South East. The South East are now reaping what they sowed. So it is an insult to the intelligence of everyone, if the South East can demand the presidential ticket of a party they have continued to work against. There is no single APC Governor from the South East. Let's face it, the South East will never get the presidential ticket of the APC. It is going to the SW and if not, it will remain in the North. Okorocha, Onu and Ngige have been duly compensated as Senator and Ministers for supporting Buhari against their people's wishes.

Let's go back to the PDP. Why will the PDP give the South East the ticket? The truth is that the South East has been loyal but is that enough? Is there a politician from the South East that can win an election in Nigeria? The APC has won the last two elections without any contribution from the South East, so why will the South East matter to PDP? The South East has the lowest number of voters amongst the 6 zones - they have the least impact in an election. Infact they are the minority zone, so why would the PDP risk all by giving the South East the presidential ticket. Besides, the South East are not united in what they want. Today, it's Biafra, tomorrow Presidency, the next day it is Vice President. Most people from the South East just want to play the role of spoiler - all they want is to ensure a Yoruba does not become the next president. They are actually not that bothered if it remains in the North. So, why would the PDP give the SE the ticket? They are not even sure they want it - they really don't know what they want.

So this is what will happen in 2023. The APC will zone to the presidency to the SW with NW/NE as VP. The PDP will zone the presidency to NE/NW with SE as VP. The APC has the incumbency advantage so that matters. And please don't say that the North will vote for PDP. There is nothing like a homogenous North. Many States from the North Central will vote for South Westerner over a core northerner including Kwara, Kogi (both have Yoruba people) and others like Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa. And you can be sure that the South Westerner will get good votes in Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Cross River States especially if he is a Christian and the Northerner is a muslim. Abiola defeated Tofa in the North, Obasanjo defeated Buhari in the North, and GEJ defeated Buhari in the North Central in 2011. GEJ won all North Central States in 2011. And more recently, Gbajabiamila defeated Bago in the race for Speaker.

Let the South East not be deceived about 2023, they are not getting any presidency and that is for sure.

If we want the political and economic stability of Nigeria we need to support an Igbo to be Nigeria President in 2023. Other zones have produced Executive President of Nigeria and its only fair now if the Igbos produce one.
That am heading PANCIP in this project is an evidence that its its a Nigerian project. Nigerians from all nook and cranny are in PANCIP as you can see here.

THANKS AND GOD BLESS
