Ngg.ng reports that former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has been appointed as the Chancellor of Achievers University.

The installation is scheduled to take place alongside conferment of Honourary of Doctorate Degree on Saturday, 9th of November at the University campus in Owo, Ondo state.

They are not... If you check very well, you will realize that chancellors of all Federal Universities (which comprises about 50% of Nigeria's Universities) are Monarchs...

In fact, in Nigerian Universities, Chancellor is a ceremonial position, though they have their power, no doubt. In fact, the Pro-Chancellor is more involved in the day-to-day running of the University, as he/she is the Chairman of the Governing Council.
