What Prophet Odumeje did is Unchrist-like

Resort to cursing and condemnation of critics is becoming a common pass time of Nigerian men of God. Sometimes the words come out so freely and easily that one wonders if James was wrong when he said: "Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. These things, my brothers, should not be this way [for we have a moral obligation to speak in a manner that reflects our fear of God and profound respect for His precepts].
JAMES 3:10 AMP

That is what Prophet Odumeje did in a recent video where he verbally assaulted those who criticised his methods.

Over and over again we see Nigerian men of God unable to clearly use the Bible to back up their claims or stand on issues. Instead they resort to outright attacks on their perceived 'opponents'. This is even more disturbing when it is their brethren in Christ that become their targets. If any man of God cannot use the Scripture to teach - clearly teach - other Christians his position on any ground he stands on then there something really wrong about the source of that his doctrine.

Nigerian men of God have significantly moved the church away from true spirituality into outright SPIRITISM. The two are different. Whilst true spirituality is clear and has its basis on the objective word of God, SPIRITISM on the other hand is based on subjectivism and is abstruse.

So when a so called man of God wants people to accept whatever methods he employs no matter how far removed from Scripture they are, something is wrong.

The Apostles modelled what the Christian life should be. Paul commanded that we follow him just as he imitates Christ. The other apostles indicated the same thing. When a man of God today disregards these clear teachings of Scripture and chooses to run by some other esoteric system then all should see a red flag.

The Bible is SUPERIOR to any man no matter how highly placed he is or by whatever title or titles he goes. When therefore a 'common' believer holds up the Word of God against an argument of the highest of men, that 'common' believer stands on a greater authority than the most elevated of men.

The issue should always be what the Bible says and not from whom a teaching or statement is coming. The Word of God stands elevated above ALL.
