Lawyers to pro-democracy activist and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, were unable to secure his release from the Department of State Services on Wednesday despite perfecting his bail condition and securing a court order to that effect.

However, upon arriving at the DSS facility around 4:30pm, the court’s bailiff alongside Sowore’s lawyers were turned back by the secret police, which claimed they had closed for the day since 3:30pm.

To those who have been claiming sowore can't meet the bail conditions, you're yet to understand who Buhari truly is. It's not about not being able to meet bail conditions here. The publisher of Sahara reporters was already prepared well for his protest and must have also anticipated the consequences of it, wondering why some people kept yelling that sowore doesn't have money and finding it hard to meet other conditions set before him.

This guy owns one of the beautiful houses in sokoto as far back as 2011. Even if he chooses to put it up for sale, he has enough to take care of the money slammed on him as one of the conditions he must meet. Sowore isn't a poor man as many might have thought. Buhari, through the DSS has been the one frustrating the whole process and I won't be surprised today, if the same DSS makes a u-turn.

One thing is certain here, the president who disobeys the rule of law will never be forgotten and the more he keeps acting like this, the more he receives disrespect from the international community. The recent london court verdict and additional USA visa payments and review of their visa policy which affects only Nigeria in africa is an example of such consequences. There's no point being fair to a government who disrespects what upholds the office he occupies and the sovereignty of his country.
