Recall that in November last year, the FCT High Court granted the ex-CBN Governor bail for the sum of N300 million

A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, is currently in court to seek variation of his bail conditions.

The former CBN governor is standing trial on six counts bordering on procurement fraud to the tune of N1.2bn.

This was the first time he would be making an appearance in court without stern-looking armed security personnel guiding him to the courtroom.

Emefiele was released from Kuje Custodial Centre on December 23, 2023, 34 days after the judge admitted him to bail.

He is asking the court to review some terms of his bail conditions.

Justice Hamza Muazu of the FCT High Court is currently listening to argument on the matter.

He is asking the court to relax his bail conditions such as handing his international passport back to him and allowing him to travel out on medical grounds from where he will skip bail and claim asylum elsewhere.

The Court will do just as he did when the Court gave a judgement against the fraudulent new Naira notes when Emefiele held Nigerians to ransom

It is so unfortunate that Emefiele having done well in Zenith Bank as the top Chief Executive of the Bank turned 360 degrees to unleashed one of the most terrible things to Nigerians.

During the Buhari government he deprived many Nigerians of access to their funds in the banks.

The situation was so worse in my location.

Banks were paying people N3,000 when they want to withdraw N50,000 to feed their family.

POS OPERATORS AND BANK MANAGERS IN MANY TOWNS IN NIGERIA CATCH IN ON THE OPPORTUNITY CREATED BY BUHARI AND EMEFIELE TO REAP A FORTUNE due to the unacceptable conduct of Emefiele and his CBN policy.

Emefiele deserved to go to jail.

This is how the case will continue to get weaken and eventually Emefiele will no longer have any reason to appear in court again. Seeing this, another opportunist will follow suit, steal billions, destroy naira further and go to court for formality sake and fian! the case close and the curcle continue. In this way, the country will be lost in the hand of everyone and those making away with all kinds of criminalities now will be the first to be consumed by this absolute lack of discipline in the country. It's just a matter of time but I'm scared for the coming generation

What this man did to my business in 2023…..I almost lost everything that me and my family almost beg for foods. That time of new naira notes, imagine using 20k transfer to buy 10k with serious begging from POS guys. Only God will judge.
